6.9 Magnitude Earthquake hits Visayas Region today

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Negros and Cebu province today, February 6, 2012 at around 11:49 AM. This is one of the series of earthquakes that were recorded just today as other places in the Philippines also experienced some after shocks. A tsunami alert has been raised on some parts of the Eastern Part of Negros province such as Dumaguete and Western Part of Cebu province.

Students were advised to go home to be with their families while employees were notified to go home on a case-to-case basis per the companies call.
