David beats Goliath! Jordan, the 3rd place in the last FIBA Asia Championship last 2009 upset the heavily favored Iran 88-84 in the first game of the quarterfinals. Jordan overcome the monster game from NBA player Hamed Haddadi of Iran to grab a place in the final four of the 2011 FIBA Asia championship. South Korea booked its ticket to the final four by beating Japan 86-67.
In the third quarterfinal game, Smart Gilas Team Pilipinas book its first trip to the final four of the FIBA Asia Championsip tournament via a convincing win over the Chinese Taipei. Marcus Douthit lead the way for the Team Philippines in this game.
