Summer vacation travel spots in Cebu

Taking some time off and spending time outside the city will surely be a good choice for families and friends. Visiting beautiful beaches and sceneries in the Visayas Region should be included in the list of the possible choices. But what if you have not been to  Cebu, the queen city of the south? Cebu offers a lot of beautiful places that you can spend some of your time this coming summer. This article gives some useful suggestions on the spots that you can choose to when you drop by the beautiful island of Cebu.

Bantayan Island
- Bantayan Island is one of the most famous tourist attraction in Cebu. Foreigners are fond of spending most of their time on this island as it offers a comparable white sand beach in Boracay. Knowing Boracay has already been developed to cater foreign individuals which results to expensive outlets, Bantayan Island offers a lot of different cheap outlets that are surely affordable for the Filipinos. 3 hour ride from the airport is not much of a problem as the beautiful beach and sea will surely take away the tiredness of the trip. Camotes Island
- Located on the northern portion of Cebu island, which is almost the same with Bantayan, Camotes Island offers also the same white sand and beautiful sea. Noteworthy is the lesser number of people who travels on this island which makes it more quiet  and a more relaxing. The island offers a lot of stalls which offers different food choices such as Sutukil (Sugba - Grilled, Tuwa - Soup, Kilaw - Fresh meat cooked in vinegar) for the fresh fish in the market. Rating: 5

Moalboal
- If you are fond of snorkling and diving, this place is the best for you. Moalboal, a 3-hour ride from the city,  boasts their seas which is best known for scuba diving. Foreigners are usually the visitors in this place. If you are from the Metro Manila, make sure to bring extra cash as you can surely expect that the price is relatively higher than the usual as it is foreigner rate. :) Rating: 3

Sumilon
- A separate island from Cebu, Sumilon is also one of the beautiful island in Cebu. a 3-hour ride down to the south, this island is known for its Sandbars which changes its location and shape depending on the season. This island is not much advertised as compared the other island in the province as its location is quite challenging for the newcomers. Rating: 3
